I have just bought a 1997 Audi A6 2.4 V6. I am wondering if I should be worried. I bought the car through on on line auction and did not pay a lot for it.
At the moment I have only done short trips (mostly to and from work) The battery was low when I got it. I have found a couple of times when I try to start it. It makes a funny noise and both the oil pressure light and ABS light flash on, and it won't start. I also noticed when this happened the battery was very low. I have read on an American forum that if the battery is low the computer malfunctions and funny things can happen. My main question is should I be worried and get both the ABS and oil pressure looked at.

I would suggest changing the battery and going from there. Let us know how it goes.
