I have a C4 S6 with old style 2+2 OBD1 connection.

My Ebay cable+VCDS lite used to work fine on my C4 S4, but now not on the S6.

Something interesting is that I can't flash the codes through the check engine light by jumping the two for'd OBD pins. I could do it on both my S4s. Unplugging the TPS does not turn the light on as it should either. The fuse is OK.

Can anyone shed light on this?

EDIT: Pulled the instrument cluster, and there is no check engine light fitted. So I guess it's back to the idea that some electronics between the laptop and cable are stuffed. Have tried all settings etc.

Check the fuses above the ECU, i think theres one of the OBD. The 3 C4's ive got dont have the check engine light fitted but my parts car with the 30V V6 has a functioning check engine light, it is a very late model.
