New Octavia vRS

I went to the official launch in Wellington last night . I'm very impressed with the new Octavia RS. Can't wait to have a drive in one!
Quality is noticeably up on the Mk1 vRS that I have. I haven't been in a Mk5 Golf yet so don't know how well it compares.

There is 2 on the yard at EuroCity here in Napier at the mo, I do like it but Im not a fan of the rear spoiler.

Can't you just "delete option" stuff like that if you're buying a brand new car?

I wouldnt think so.

If I was to buy one I think Id go for a Combi anyway.

Had a Combi RS for a few days over the weekend. Very impressed and a bit surprised. I didn't much like the looks of the press shots but looks way better in the flesh. Great short shift gearbox (6 speed). Handling was tight - car had the optional 18s. Not super quick but plenty of midrange. Huge boot thanks not having to have rear diff. Might have to watch this space.

Agreed. Im hoping the newly anounced 2.0 Tdi version of this car will also have DSG and arrive hopefully this year...just add chip and grin. Did I add that this combo will run on smell of an oily rag...
