I went to the official launch in Wellington last night . I'm very impressed with the new Octavia RS. Can't wait to have a drive in one!
Quality is noticeably up on the Mk1 vRS that I have. I haven't been in a Mk5 Golf yet so don't know how well it compares.

Can't you just "delete option" stuff like that if you're buying a brand new car?

ja

Had a Combi RS for a few days over the weekend. Very impressed and a bit surprised. I didn't much like the looks of the press shots but looks way better in the flesh. Great short shift gearbox (6 speed). Handling was tight - car had the optional 18s. Not super quick but plenty of midrange. Huge boot thanks not having to have rear diff. Might have to watch this space.  :)

Agreed. Im hoping the newly anounced 2.0 Tdi version of this car will also have DSG and arrive hopefully this year...just add chip and grin. Did I add that this combo will run on smell of an oily rag...
