'92 UR S4 on trademe
« on: July 02, 2006, 07:26:01 pm »
Wow, never thought I'd see one for sale on there.  Someone on VASK?  I'm guessing reserve would be close to 20K?  In which year did they come with 10V and 20V engines?  Or is that the difference between the urS4 and urS6?

Here is it:

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Audi/auction-61896221.htm

310 BHP? Hmmm . . .

BTW, all early S4s are 20Vs.

Only 4 in NZ? I dont think so.

factory chipped sounds like a load of rubbish, never heard of audi or vw ever doing that.

golfboy is right they are rare, but 4 is again rubbish.

I guess the guy is either upselling or doesn't really know that much about them.

could still be a nice car though.

I reckon $20k is too steep.

Any idea what a good price is?  Pretty high k's but they're pretty hardy engines.  Factory chipping does sound suspicious.  What would you look out for on one of these?

Yeah, I'd say 10k+ if it's tidy. These are OK, but quite a big heavy car.
Several errors in the listing I think, not that serious, but definatley misleading:
Gurtrag box...Huh?
310HP. Audi factory chipped ECU.....extremely unlikely (shoud be 220ish).
11 litres per 100 km economy....possibly on open road if very careful.
Procon 10 safety system - better than airbags...heavier than airbags.
S4 quattro recaro seats...don't think the URS4 seats are Recaros.

Id say 10K.
That should be close Nik, maybe $13/$14 tops.... they are getting old although if you wanted a bigger car, still a good option and they get along pretty well. Never heard of the chipping option, hmmm?

Apparently there could be one or two in NZ, but I've never seen one. Total production was abotu 300 S2 sedans, mostly LHD.
