Downpipe removal on TDI
« on: April 19, 2014, 04:01:10 pm »
I'm trying to remove std exhaust system to make way for a milltek decat downpipe, centrepipe and deboxed tip but the original downpipe is putting up a hell of a fight.
I've loosened the band fixing the downpipe to the turbo right off -I would remove it but its either fused to the downpipe over the years, or is actually part of the downpipe. No amount of whacks with a mallet, WD40 and shaking has been successful thus far. Any suggestions or even better anybody with experience willing to help out for a bit of cash/beer? BKD TDI engine.
Thanks in advance :)
