Hi Guys,

Can I just bolt a flywheel to any R32 engine that was DSG? (i.e. for manual conversion)

I've googled it a bit, and there seems to be some conflicting info, though I think some people are getting confused with some of the 4 cylinders that seemingly have different crankshafts. I just want the stock DMF, which I'll buy a new one of. The engine in question would actually be from an '04 Audi A3.

Are all the transmission angle drives the same ratio?

Everyone seems to say they are 1:1, but I want to be sure, before lunching one, or a haldex. I'd be concerned about the difference between a MKIV 2.8 4 motion trans (that would have driven a gen 1 Haldex) and a MKV rear end (which is running gen 2 Haldex).

I'm fairly certain I'm all good, but hoped someone can confirm, so I can progress with planning  >:D

It will bolt on, some automatic blocks have one gearbox bolt in a different spot but a manual trans will still bolt on.......with one less bolt that is.
