Fitted APR TIP at the weekend

I fitted my new turbo intake pipe this weekend
What a biatch of a job that was! It took me most of the day to get the bloody thing to fit properly.
I have no skin on half of my knuckles and I ache from getting under the car and back about 50 times. I also should have work gloves cos I can't get the oil off my hands - doh!

Not only that I have no idea if it's improved things cos I only went for a very quick test drive. Hope if was worth it

I just need my Carbonio intake now - on its way from the UK

i think its easier if you pull the drive shaft out of the gearbox yoke..

Eventually, yeah, but I have some way to go. There's a guy in the UK with an Octavia 4x4 (same engine as mine) running around 500bhp

I have a Carbonio air intake on its way - I hope it doesn't make the DV sound too boy racer!

It's an APR TIP, not ABD too - getting my tuners mixed up (insert fish joke here)!!

Edit: Oh bugger I'm repeating myself. Old age is catching up with me!

What did that Set you back..

It cost $400 from Awesome - www.awesome-gti.co.uk including postage. Only took about a week to arrive too.
The best quote I could get in NZ was nearly $600!
It definitely makes a difference to the way the car drives. It's subtle but it definitely picks up a bit better and feels more "torquey"
