i wish i knew more about them, every mechanic i go to with it knows nothing about them...powerhaus would be the best bet i know of around here, but even they send the kjet off to melbourne if there is something that requires a rebuild....the nearest bosch service center is in melbourne...

Carbs are easy, you just need to know what is involved and what symptoms mean what.

All the best with the project Rob.

I'm itching to get my hands on it now. Vehicle movers collect tomorrow.

I've been tidying my tip of a garage. I appear to have become my dad and hoarded a load of crap. Though I never sacrificed getting the car in there.

Slowly getting there!

Look at the rust and try not to get too disheartened :D Then start stripping it I guess!
It was collected yesterday by the vehicle movers :D On its way!

It's actually better than I feared rust wise.
I had a day off work so I've started the strip down :D

Many more pics to come of course.

Got the sunroof to work. It was jammed at first so I'm pleased it was okay.

It didn't end well for this guy.

Wiring is going to be fun.

So far my shopping list, apart from all new fluids and stuff, is:

Boot gas struts
Sunroof seal
Wheel brace without hand-slicing peeling chrome
Rear brakes (haven't looked at fronts yet)

I have the boot stripped, all knackered speakers gone with associated wiring, back seat and rear cards removed, rear bumper and lights removed.
Mouse removed. :D

Seats and carpets out next then dash for a proper look at that wiring.

Just looking at this photo. Is the hole in the carpet on the transmission tunnel from an old car phone?

Haha I bet it is! Someone has taken serious liberties with the wiring in this car.
