Awesome, thanks Andy! :D
Pulled out the rest of the leather trim last night, removed mirrors (which have 1m of wire going to a connector under the dash!)
Repaired the electric window wiring - they didn't work after I pulled out the old alarm wiring. The windows no longer work with the ignition off, which is good! But they both need pulling apart and lubricating as one hardly moves and the other makes bad noises :D

There are so many wires in this car that aren't connected to anything!
I also made a decision to remove the factory pneumatic central locking. Electric remote locking kit on its way from Ebay which will give me two spare keys, two remotes and a button to open the boot from the remote. :)

Also this was a nerve wracking thing to do.

Just had the guy around from a local rust place in Tawa.
He reckons 4.5-5.5k to fix all of the rust and respray the outside.

are you getting the body soda blasted Rob?, 4.5 -5.5k, I didnt think you would have much change out of 10k so this sounds fairly resonable

It's not a complete strip and respray, but strip back, cut out and repair the rusty bits then full paint job.

Pulled the rest of the plastics off the boot

New bonnet ornament.

Headlining out. Wasn't too bad to do.

Not sure what the story is with these holes.

This foam is not fun to remove.

Yeah he thought it was the best thing ever when I stood with my head out of the sunroof to get to the edges of the headlining. He was at my height standing on the roof, purring and rubbing his face all over me.

Got the central locking kit for the quattro. Looks great and even includes Audi badges for the flick keys! Just need to get the keys cut.
