Hey Rob, just an idea, you should get the door handles taken off with all the prep that is going on. They come off pretty easy.

Yep agreed. The windscreen needs to come out too. I suspect they got the junior guy working on it sanding it before the serious work begins.

I've been looking at what fluids I need to change and finding out specs and quantities.
Things the internet has told me:

Brake fluid - DOT4 - 4l to flush and bleed
Oil and filter - cheap oil to flush then 5w30 synthetic, 4.5 litres - Steve change the oil and filter when he had it
Fuel filter
Air filter
Coolant flush and change - G13/G12
Power steering fluid - ATF - need to check what colour I have
Gearbox and centre diff Diff oil - Castrol TAF-X or equivalent 2.7 litres
Rear diff - Castrol GL5 Spec diff oil EPX 85w90 2.2 litres (VW garage quoted $98+GST per litre :o )

Also plates
QATRO is available. I kinda like it because it's readable and makes sense to non car people :)

4L of brake fluid!?!
Maybe not :D Someone suggested it would be cheaper in a larger bottle.

VAGLYF is still available

I've always taken the view that if someone doesn't understand your plate they don't need to know.....

Kinda reads as Katro to me? (I know, I should read it like Qantas, but without a U it just looks odd!)

URQ85 seems like the best so far. The main reason I want a pplate is to get the new slimline plates because they look nice.

Probably best to shelve the idea for a while :D
Plus I may have to replace my camera for about the same money as a pplate :D

In other news I got some shinies from 034 Motorsport today.

i would pass on a vanity plate.

it would only devalue the cars classiness.

I'm inclined to agree with this comment.
I think the p/plates are becoming a bit 'tarnished' by the 'undesirables' driving around with them on
