Wow, nice, and I didn't realise that lining was a firm panel.

Sunroof is in place. It's not quite closing properly so some adjustment is needed, but it works.

Did a couple of other small jobs

Aerial installed

Wiper motor in place. I'm missing one of the rubber washers for under the bolts, no idea where to find one. Any ideas? It's 53mm across, and maybe 0.5mm thick.

Rear wiper motor installed and parcel shelf in. One of the speaker grilles has gone missing in my storage area, must have fallen down the back of something, it'll turn up.

It's just clear plastic water hose from Bunnings. 13mm id. $3.59 a metre.

Great source of OEM parts, Rob :)

Keep it up - still loving this build!

Looking good Rob.  Do the C pillar covers pull tight after installing the rest of the trim?

No they still need sorting out.
Amusingly I noticed one of my seatbelts has a label on it that reads "Geniune Volvo part"

It has been a year since I bought the ur.

My wife and daughter went to Disney On Ice, so I went to the garage :)

I re-fitted the dash.

Wipers are on after a trip to the plumbing shop for a rubber washer.

I tested all of the dash illumination and warning light bulbs. One was blown, two were missing.

Then got the stalks and dash in place

One of the light switches looked a bit worrying. Fortunately the one from the GT was fine.

The dash surround needed some work, and some glue, to get the switches in place so while that was setting I fitted the front windows.

The brackets are solid but had surface rust, so I cleaned them up and painted them.

I really should re-fit the battery and start testing this stuff.
Still finding little things to sort out, like the curiously large number of holes leading from the scuttle tray to the cabin.

Also looking at the state of the seatbelts I'm thinking of binning them and buying brand new. Both for looks and safety.
The only think that might make it tricky is that the universal ones all have an eye for a bolt at the bottom, and the quattro ones loop around a metal slidey bar.

There are companies that will 're web' seatbelts so that you keep the original look, but new/safer webbing

Can't wait to see this thing (and sad about the mighty Skoda :(  )

I went for black. Too much red would be bad, even though I love red belts.

Pulled the carpets out for a look and they're worse than I realised. Apologies for the bad photo.

Going to get a local upholsterer to make me a new set.

I couldn't wait any longer to add this sticker :D

There's only so long I can resist before sticking a sticker on.

Let me know how you get on - my driver's side carpet is toast. If they do a good job I'll get them to do mine too. The RR 20V floorpan is different to the WR and MB one unfortunately...
