I survived more than 40 years driving without aircon, as did many other,s so opening a window is not too difficult if temperatures start rising

Lol..and no doubt you suffered the added hardship of manual windows as well.

Exercise is good for you which is probably why I am still here and able to report on the 'hardships' we endured :)

Yeah that 650km drive in a black car with no aircon will be interesting!!
I have fond memories of driving my old black Ur around central Otago during summertime. It was a sauna to say the least, but so worth it.
Now I have a white one with air con. ;)

Out and in the boot.

By the way I may have accidentally ordered a set of Samco silicone hoses.

No, none at all yet. I'm sure something will break once I start driving it :)

You're tenacious, that's for sure. I don't think I could have done it, - and still be married.

It takes a lot to see a project through start to finish, a great effort Rob.
That picture collage just shows how far its come, all its takes is perseverance, time and money.

The speakers were just a few mm too deep to fit properly in the holes and it bothered me that they didn't sit right to I got some thin spacers to push them out a bit. Abtec Audio Lounge made them for me while I waited. Great service!

You know what Rusty is missing?
Well, a few things but one big one is some doof doof noises. And of course something to make them work, as the Out of Sight Audio device is winging its way back to the US because of a loud hissing noise problem.
Anyway I happen to have a rather nice 10" sub in my garage which I want to install somewhere. Of course anything like this must be reversible, so I got the spare side trim out, from the GT donor car, to work out how it might fit.
There's a big space inside those lovely box flares which really wants to be a bass box :)

Yeah I was thinking that. Never tried fiberglass but it's something I want to have a go at.

Yes please! Seen pics of it done online. The manual for my sub recommends a 0.5 sq ft ported enclosure for rock type music :D

Interesting. I always thought sealed was better for rock. Makes it more punchy.
