The gasket is in Wellington already, apparently out for delivery today but it hasn't turned up yet.

Sigh.

Oil pumps!
Mine is pretty munted, needs replacing.
My parts diagram says 134 105 115A
The pump on the car is 134 105 109
Search those numbers on Ebay and everyone seems to say that 134 105 115 A,B,C,D are equivalent.
Autewo.de have a 109 for 400 Euro ish delivered to NZ. But They say it's also 134 105 115C.
Confused.
If I have to pay $700+ for the right part I will but if I can get one for a third that I'd prefer to.

Have ordered a pump listed as 134 105 115 A/B, Febi Bilstein aftermarket part for almost $700 including postage and taxes.
The supplier in the UK checked the VIN and has confirmed fitment, and if for some reason it doesn't fit they will cover return postage.

Dropped off at Wellington European.

Wellington European sent me the first pic this afternoon. At 5pm after work I was there to collect Rusty!

Before immediately parking it in town and going for dinner with my wife.
The drive home was great! Smooth, good noises, happy driver.
No obvious drips when home after a spirited drive up the hill road.

Hopefully usable at last.
I wonder if you thought this saga would stretch to 103 pages when you first started.
Congratulations on such perserverance, after that you deserve plenty of enjoyable driving from it.

I still have a list of work to do, the main priority being the musty smell which must be a water leak somewhere.

But I really hope this is the last of the mechanical/engine stuff for now.

I'll go for a proper drive at the weekend :)

Ohh man I'd love to but I can't really take that much time out this weekend. So many jobs to catch up with after the wedding.

Speaking to a few other folks, how about the 25th?

Nice little drive followed by a wash.
No problems at all, lots of smiles from me.
Nothing broke.
All fluids stayed in their proper places.
Really happy with Wellington European's work.

A mate and I had a good feel around the carpet and it is damp underneath the passenger side carpet. So something?s definitely leaking there and it must be the source of the musty smell.

I will put up with it for a little longer, don?t want to strip the interior out yet as I have a couple of events to go to in the next few weeks.

Musty carpet reminds me of the Scimitar GTE I owned..........great car but not entirely waterproof. Mind you that was par for the course back in the '70s
