Choose your GTI?!?

EMD have followed VW UK in placing an "interactive" create your on GTI tool on www.volkswagen.co.nz

Unfortunately, because the retards at EMD that decide what we get have placed such limitations on what specs we can chose from, the website is crap.

There are only 5 door cars, only 3 choices of interior, only 5 colours (no white, blue, etc) and the choice of accessories is tihs.

What is the point in having a website that promotes "choice" when there is no selection?

Real choice will come in 2006. Ex japan & singapore imports - Possible 3drs as well.

The point here is shut the money off from EMD - wait a year save yourself 10 - 15k & buy near new import.

Interesting. A shame about the whole 5 door only thing - I strongly dislike the 5 door expecially as the Mk5 3 door looks very sexy! But then I'm not likely to ever buy a GTi new so I doubt the guys at EMD wil lose too much sleep  ;)l

10 years ago - EMD had for sale mk3 Golf in 3 & 5 door and the Polo was available in 3 & 5 door too.
As far as i know they all sold.

Yeah they did, I recall Dad having 3 door Polos and Golfs on the yard.

I cant see the point of not having at leat 3 door Polo and Golf GTIs.
Guess we were lucky to have 3 door R32s.

All mk4 R32s sold as well - at 70oddk a pop.
Mk3 cabrio was bought in by EMD as well.
