Saw a Mk5 GTi in silver on the way to work this morning.

Seen at the end of Hopetoun St, turning onto Ponsonby Rd.

Looked like a Giltrap salesman driving.

Gave a toot & a wave in my Mk3 GTi, got a big wave back.

Looked fantastic in silver, even if 5dr  :(

The Forester is a completly bland car to begin with, the Turbo one is best described as a banana box with scoop. (Hope there isn't anyone on here who was stupid enough to buy one >:()

Here is a lowered, bigger wheeled non-GTI Mk5 that was posted on the old forum?, a car that has style to begin with.

So as soon as I can get a 4WD version with 180+kW may think about it ....

Untill then i'll stick with the S3

Neil_Corrado

The new (B7) A4 has got the same engine with DSG and quattro!

Not sure about that....

no mention of the DSG Box in any of the information Ihave seen on the B7, plus DSG is a transverse gearbox ?

Could be in the next Passat ?

Neil_Corrado

Yeah sorry your right, you cant have DSG with a longitudinal engine.
The one i was looking at has a tiptronic with paddles.

cy

hehe, as usual for me i will stick with the stick tranny
