They are astonishing! I own a remapped and de-catted C6 and the C7 would pull it apart off the mark. The V10 does have longer legs but off the mark that 4.0T is just unbelievable. Best engine Audi have made in a very long time.

We recently remapped a C7 also.....  :o WOW!

I commented last night to someone that the only car I would change my C6 for was a C7.  ;D
Too much power is almost enough.

Did you buy that Nardo grey one what had been featured in Speedhunters?

Good call on the pull up shades. Beats the old "cloth in the window" trick...a nice way to make a cool car look bogan haha.

The one from Speedhunters had an ECU flash and exhaust system. Was putting out something like 700hp and nearly 1000nm of torque. An absolute animal!

We almost bought the one that eventually became the speedhunters one, but because we wanted the sunshade which could only be factory fitted, we ordered a new one and as a result ended up with a new face lift version.  I know its the same one as the article mentions he has the Civic RR.

What I found interesting was that it is only doing 3.3s, I assume that was measured on a proper vbox.  The vbox for the stock one is 3.48, I wonder if the wheels/tyre combo is actually having a hard time putting the power down.

Yeah, I was very tempted by the Speedhunters one (owned by that guy Chris?....i think he also used to have a BNR34 GTR??) but was overseas in Spain at the time and it was sold by the time I got back.

3.3s is a reasonable improvement for the low-down speed. The RS6 is a lot of weight to get off the line and the tyres presumably can only grab so well.  The article also talked about issues with the tyres twisting on the rims...so presumably some lost traction there as well.

For similar money this R8 is rather tempting ( http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/audi/auction-1022934264.htm ) ..but the reason that I would replace my RS4 with an RS6 is all to do with family practicality, so an R8 would ultimately be a step backwards and it would get less use than my RS4 does! Plus the C7 RS6 with a full milltek exhaust system sounds amazing.

That 5.2L V10 though..  >:D

But yes right now for my situation with family the C7 RS6 is the best car on the market.  We have the Cayenne S, its a V8 but meh.. really meh.

There is also the small (or not so small) issue of being out of warranty on that R8. If anything goes poof it will mean serious repair bills.
