Last weekend here in Portsmouth on the Southsea common, there was the biggest aircooled gathering I have ever seen in my life! There were hundreds of Kombis and beetles and even a stretched Kombi with VR6 engine! Some very nice buggies too!The car that caught my eye though was this turbocharged beetle!Just look at the size of that carb!

OMG!  thats mad, how well would that exhaust manifold work? it's very long before it gets to the turbo.

That's the maddest draw through turbo setup I think I've ever seen. Low tech but you sort of get the impression it might just do the job!  ;D

Got any other pics from the day Rex?

There were several Sciroccos on display Damian, including a nice Storm.A few Golfs and an Audi or two as well. And this very well presented Kubelwagen.

Ahhh its only a proper KubelWagen if it has the rear propeller :D
