2005 Mk5 GTI Cold start up noise

when I start my car in the morning or if its been sitting around for a few hours  a loud clucking sound coming from the left hand side , only on start up for about 2 seconds then the sound is gone
anyone else experience this problem ?

And a ticking noise from the rear of the engine some times in it is warm

If anyone could help with these problems would be much appreciated

Sounds like starter. Pull it out and regrease.
Monitor, if it continues? You may need to replace the starter.
But would be good to take a video or record the sound and post it up. So you would be able to assist others in the future also.
