1.8 AUG tuning

hey guys ive just got my hands on an 8v CLI with the AUG engine code, im looking at building up a spare 8v engine i have here to chuck into it, what would you reccomend doing? I want to get a big valve head, rod and main bearings, high comp pistons, uprated oil pump, and a 272 street sport cam. Anything else youd recommend? And has anyone had any expirence with the 7,000 limit chips with the digifant system?

Your best bang for buck is to fit a 2L bottom end from a mk3 using the mk2 head.
Some minor porting,a nice cam and matching chip will make for a fun engine in a mk2. (I have this setup in my mk2)
But the 2L swap on its own will make most of the differance.

The reality is the 8v is not a power house. You can spend alot of money on valves etc and yes you will gain small amounts but $ will be high for the hp.
