looks like the shots are on bonneville. wonder how it did...
likes like a nice engine to work on, just sit down inside the back and tinker away.

I subscribe to Hotrod and just went looking for the article, its a 355 blown smallblock. The van has a 7" roofchop, the guy drove it 4000 miles to the bonneville salt flats and "COAXED 8-10 MPG out of the twin holley four barrels.
Doesn't say what power or what speed it did tho.

I subscribe to Hotrod

the first car I fell in love with was the de Thomaso Mangusta on the cover of Road & Track, but it didn't take long to get into rodding magazines, still have some Hot Rods and Rod & Customs from the sixties (much to the wife's annoyance)

they used to cost .45c, read it and weep!

wonderful, just absolutely, deliciously, insanely wonderful and they saved 30kg with the carbon fibre roof!  eat your heart out BMW!

look at http://www.race-taxi.ch/ for build photos

what a great week, the twin VR6 Lupo and the turbo van

if you go to their site, there is a download (NSFDialup) of running the taxi at Spa, where an Aston driver does NOT want to get overtaken by a kombi and in the third video the driver hounds a 911 that eventually spins out!  I just love this sort of thing!   ;D
