Front top strut bearings
« on: December 19, 2016, 10:11:22 pm »
When put together correctly should there be any slop in top mount.

I've just about finished putting mine back together with new Febi Bilstein parts and seem to have about 1mm of vertical movement (and I believe this to be a bad thing). On several other forums I've read of people filing the spacer bush so that there is no vertical movement.

It may also explain why the cabby gets pinged about once every 4 years for a worn top right mount at about 5k kms.....

Has anyone else ended up filing the spacer?
