So had some time this arvo and thought hmmmm what could I do. A little while ago I bought a non slip mat designed to fit over the ashtray area that I have been using to throw my phone on and so I thought wouldn't it be fantastic if this could act as a wireless charger for my S6.

There was a wireless charger sitting next to the missus's side of the bed (sacrifice hers first) so apart that came and some basic testing showed it was a viable option. An hour later (would have been 1/2 an hour but I blew a fuse and had to get some spares) my thought had turned in reality  :).

A video of it in action. Excuse the video had to use an old S4 to take the footage.

cool.
does it work when driving ?
will the phone stay in place ?

with my old nexus 4 + 5, i found it need exact placement on the charging mat (factory qi charger) and was much slower than wired charging.

Yup works while driving , draws power from the climate control circuit.

Phone is rock solid and does not move.
