is that size really unobtainable ?

I'd fit 225/50 x15 - slightly oversize (1.7% increase in circumference) which would reduce the speedo error in my car (reads about 8kph over at 100kph).

There's be no clearance issues. Apart from not be truly factory standard they'd be just fine.

Tyres I'd choose probably Toyo T1Rs. Had great experience with them on the ITR. Not a track tyre but very good street tyre.
