Faulty Locking Mechanism

Hi all

Brief rundown of my issue.
2003 Golf Station Wagon
Left rear door not unlocking.
Kiddy lock engaged!
Button won't rise when unlocking.
Button lifts when using interior handle, but won't stay lifted. Cant hold lifted button either.
Outside handle does nothing.
Cant even open door to remove door card.

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Even just help in opening door.
