With the Porsche biturbo V6 and in Nogaro Blue, it's got hints of RS2 about it...

Article doesn't get off to a great start..."Gets a Nogaro blue paint as a throwback to the original RS4 Avant from 1999."

I love the quality of the internet, apparently you can pay extra to get a rear diff:

"while a rear-mounted differential is available at an additional cost"

The standard model must do mean skids with a locked rear axle.

Wouldn't it be more fun if you could delete option the front diff and have it in RWD form!

Yeah, but ti be fair the RS2 Blue is called RS Blue, but its the same paint code as Nogaro.

The 2.9 biturbo V6 was co-developed by Porsche and Audi. It made its debut in the Panamera.

You know what, this guy would have just been parroting the Audi press material so fair play. Personally I more associate 'that' blue with the RS2. My memory is that the B5 RS4 press car was red. Anyway, turbos are back. What a cracking motor. 600nm of torque. The na v8 will be missed though. Time to buy a B7/B8?

I'll take a turbo over na any day.
You may miss throttle response, but torque is best.

I just picked up a 2017 RS6 Performance. The torque is insane, it's a rapid, rapid car. Still, I would add that I love the engine noise of the RS4, the mechanical whine of the engine is sublime...but the pop and crackle on the over run of the RS6 makes me giggle like a child. Hard to notice the lack of throttle response when it is delivering such savage power.

They are pretty cool.

They do lack on limit corner control like the rs4 (unless you have steel springs), and have you experienced the torque steer when you floor it at open road speeds and it jumps 2 meters sideways ? You soon learn
to respect full trottle.
