NGK Spark Plugs

Hi Guys

Need to know if anyone knows if I can use NGK BKR7EIX Iridium IX Spark Plug in my MK6 with the red R8 coil packs.
Repco and VW tell me I should use Platinums. VW says Bosch and Repco says NGK.

Repco's recommendation is PFR7S8EG.
The BKR7EIX as far as I have researched is not gapped or they could be gapped at 0.8mm. How will I know what the right gap for the car is and given that it is a stock engine what do you guys suggest?

I will be using Castrol 5W30 Edge Titanium LL, a VW Oil Filter and this is for a replacement engine going in with 43k kms.

BKR7EIX are generally gapped at 0.65 mm  :)

yes BKR7EIX @ 0.8 if car is tuned.

Generally you would run a smaller plug gap if running more boost, not larger.
Combustion chamber pressure can extinguish spark if gap too large leading to pops and bangs / misfires
Stock should be 0.030 - 0.032 and 0.028 tuned (inches)
