Nothing at the moment, health and finances a bit poorly of late  :( , but do have plans  8).

BTW, that was the designation for the engines they developed for Vauxhall, the (c)20XE, which was rather successful in the BTCC and WTCC Championships.
These are my thoughts and opinions - sometimes I'm wrong, but not often ;-)

is that the 16v slant 4 that was used in the Jensen Healey?

That was the Lotus engine, undeveloped at that point and paved the way for Jensens' demise; later used in the Lotus Elite (1974 edition)

South African chap, panel beater, he turbo'ed it, if it's the same chap - Samir?
Chad sold the calibra to his father, don't know what happened after.

it must be quite daunting designing something for someone as knowledgeable and experienced as Gordon Murray, but Murray seems quite relaxed about the whole thing

and it must be quite satisfying to get the positive feedback from him

that sport quattro ...  mmmm

what was that ugly car murray arrived in ?

the phantom

didn't see him arrive in a car, but they were walking towards what looked like a KIA Soul as they left, no roof racks so it might have been the EV version

Putting a 13B turbo in it???

they'd have to dry sump it, Mazda rotaries (back in the day anyway) had huge ugly sumps that hung too low for the Ro80, that's one reason why Ford V4s were preferred, even if they idled like a bag of nails

was it usual to make an air intake out of a muffler ?

Gordo

It may be an OEM design - there are other cars also running that setup, and not just Escorts.
I would suggest they were used to reduce intake noise and, as form follows function, that is why they look like exhaust mufflers, because they do the same job?
