MK4 GTI clutch feel
« on: February 12, 2018, 06:25:29 pm »
Hi all,

After a bit of help. My mk4 gti pedal feel has suddenly become very light. The biting point is soft and you have to give it some gas to get it moving on a slight incline (previously you could get the car to move forward with just the clutch) and the clutch grabs very fast. The funny thing is this problem has happened many times before and the clutch suddenly goes back to feeling great. Could the hot weather we've been having here in Auckland the reason behind this? The car also seems a little less responsive

- Car has had a Valeo SMF conversion about 10k ago
- New Slave Cylinder about 1k ago
- Liquimoly Oil in the box
- Clutch has also been bled atleast 3 times now
- Clutch does not slip in any gear

Another thing is my ignition module recently went (2 months ago) which meant the car the car was running on 3 cylinders for a few days. Put a new one  in and the clutch went back to feeling great.
Has anyone else experienced this before?

Thanks in advance
