A4 Avant Japan to NZ band expander
« on: February 16, 2018, 09:15:07 pm »
Hi does anyone know where to find the connection that I need to plug a FM band expander into?

I have a 2010 A4 (B8) Avant with MMI3G High

I've seen the radio equipment in the boot and assume it needs to plug into there somewhere but have had no luck.

below is a link to the band expander I have purchased
https://www.radio-waves.co.nz/product/band-expander-for-audi-and-vw/

I had planned on replacing the radio tuner unit although brought a broken unit and have given up.

Appreciate any advise

Thanks!

Post your radio's product number, that would help.

this is the back of the radio: the connections to the aerial are typically a double coax block

Sorry i cant be anymore help, i do conversions and only use a proper radio head unit not a band expander.
