I?m looking at getting a Scirocco, can anyone voice an opinion on them?

What am I looking for? What should I watch out for? How many kms is too many?
What?s a fair price range?

avoid the 1.4

the 2.0 was ok but more grand tourer than hot hatch, would rather have a golf gti

2.0 R was the pinnacle
fast, powerful, exciting for a vw, a little unruly.

scirocco is somewhat based of the mk5  platform.

Equipped with the mk6 GTI engine for the 2.0TSI, can have mk5 steering wheel and red cluster dash, otherwise mk6 gti steering wheel and white cluster.

Scirocco R has the same CDL engine as per the Golf R. So yes, performance increases are largely the same. If that's of any interest to you.
They are good cars, providing they have been serviced and maintained well.

Any reason you're specifically after a scirocco over say a golf?
