Hi FAM

I recently just bought a MK6 GTI and a few days later I found that the 1st gear and reverse gear engagement from a stand still was extremely harsh and caused the car to lurch when you take your foot of the brake.

After doing some research I've been able to pin it down to two solenoids in the mech unit itself. (N215 & N216)
I'm just looking into where I can source the replacement solenoids and when they come I'll be replacing them in situ.
Has anyone attempted this procedure? Has anyone got any tips or suggestions? I'm all ears haha.

I?m going to swap the DSG fluid out today and check the levels. Nothing in VCDS that I can see but I?ll keep looking.

**UPDATE**

We did the DSG service and another calibration and the issue went away. STOKED!

Perfect opportunity to celebrate with a Unitronic Stage 1+ ECU & TCU software flash!

Always start with simply basic checks etc first, before jumping into any potential expensive repairs.
