What's (supposed to be) in the cavity below the front left headlight on a C5?

What's usually inside the front left bumper cavity, in front of the left wheel, below the headlight?

I picked up a C5 V8 with lower bumper damage and looks like there is a mounting bracket in there but the item has been removed (possibly damaged) and there is also a very thin black pipe which I think leads to the vacuum system at the front of the engine which controls the intake runner changeover.

I doubt this plastic pipe is supposed to be open to the atmosphere. Maybe it connects to a vacuum reservoir or filter down there??

No. The window washers still work. This black tube is very small. About 1mm diameter.

Yeah I'm pretty sure there is supposed to be a vacuum reservoir in there judging by the shape of the bracket.

I wouldn't panic, just because there's a bracket, does not mean there's 'supposed' to be a device there.

There's a vacuum line that connects to nothing. I'd say something should be there! lol
