Gents (& Ladies)

Looking for a place to service my MK5 2.0t DSG in the Gisborne Area?

I also have a shudder as the vehicle starts to move (from standstill until the car starts moving). Any suggestions?

Thanks!

not looking good!

What about Hawkes bay?

Unsure if there's any good independents there, but try EuroCity in Napier.

Your Profile pic: CitiGolf. You from SA?

Alfashark

No problem!

I'm not from SA, but that thing is sitting in my garage while I cry about the logistics of getting a new carb out of SA...

VW'n

2 independant options in napier.

Andy from hawkes bay auto and electrical services vw,
He looks after our vw passat, good guy and fair pricing but wont service your dsg transmission he will refer you to hawkes bay transmission services for this, another great company to deal with.

Andrew hollywood motors are another good option they do the dsg service in house aswell as all other servicing just a little more expensive but still very resonable compared to the vw dealership.

Alfashark. Whats the problem with getting a carb from SA?

80 Vert

Id be surprised if Lane in Wellington didn't have the carb you need.

A mate went down to pick a car up from Lane and I gave him a written description of what I needed - Keihin twin-choke to suit an auto Citi.

No dice, different flange/stud measurements.

Ex SA works out to be about $60-80NZD, but nearly $500NZD in freight - That was multiple quotes from NZ and SA based shippers.
