Hey team,

What should I expect for a standard service (15k).

Is a 2012 VW Passat 2.0 TDi.

Based in Hawke?s Bay.

Cheers R

Oil, filter and anything else that's due based on the overall mileage - Pollen filter, fuel filter...

Been told nothing due just standard service as per

Been told $450-500 does that seem normal?

If they're doing all of the above that sounds plausible.

AA service center quotes platinum services for euro cars @ $336. That's where i take my cars to. Their platinum service covers the mechanical insurance requirements as well which is great. Not sure if there is an AA center near you.
The only time i got the shock of my life was when i got a $932 bill for a service on my 2009 audi S3 from another Euro service center, never went back there again needless to say.  :o

$500 is pretty standard for specialists and main dealers. It comes down to their horrendous labour rates.
