Smokey exhaust

Hey guys Im new here, driving a Jetta mk5 1.4 TSI, car drive very well however once smoke start to kick out it gets smokey 
any advices is appreciated.

what kind of smoke: white, black or blue?

Naekyr its white and some water droplets..

Is it smoke or steam?
If you are seeing steam and water droplets, then you have a busted head gasket.

McDoof definitely a smoke.

80 Vert

1.4 engine could be the dreaded broken ring lands. New pistons required if that's the case and a very common problem on these.

So what advice would you give, what the cost for repair and if it's worth?

Do a leak down test. If it's pistons it's probably not worth repairing unfortunately
