Now they just need tickets for not using your lights in foggy / misty conditions.

So many oblivious drivers in Auckland yesterday morning.

cops remain ignorant about foglight abuse.

last night on police stop, some waste of space got pulled over for speeding, as he pulled away after his admonishment you could see a single high intensity foglamp blazing away on a clear night.

copper was silent.

Perfect, but a drop in the bucket compared to infringements issued for minor speeding when it?s not unsafe.

She didn't get ticketed for driving slowly, as such, but because she was doing it in the 'overtaking' lane and hadn't moved to the left as she was supposed to do.
I don't have too much of a problem with 'slow' drivers, as long as they keep left and/or pull over to allow following traffic past - the word is 'consideration'!

Re: foglights and/or faulty headlights - keeping a straw poll, it seems to be between 10 and 15% of drivers are using their lights in an illegal way. Fools using dip beam in clear weather are still dangerous where there are hills and crests, even some intersections, as they at least double the glare for on-coming drivers.
It's a shame the police don't pull these drivers over for a reminder and general check for WoF, licences, etc.
These are my thoughts and opinions - sometimes I'm wrong, but not often ;-)
