I have to agree with other thoughts on the forums tho - I'm not a fan of everything being on touch screens. But it's unavoidable now I think - it must make save cost on physical components and wiring I assume. Being in the field of design and usability myself although with a different discipline, touch screens in vehicles score really poorly from what I've read - so I can only assume it's done for wow factor in the showroom and economics.
But I will say however I am a fan of the little gear levers, they are really neat and tidy design solution. The gear selector in my car (current Octavia RS) is enormous, especially for something you only use twice per trip.
