Agreed, back in the day, there may have been a place for them, but now they're mostly for the wank-factor - people showing off their wealth, even though many are leased and not actually owned.
I think I would take some pleasure in the tactility, but unless I was taking it to track/club days where the legs would get stretched, I expect I would just find it frustrating after the first few drives.

Could not agree more but as a piece of automotive art I think it looks stunning.

That might be part of the appeal for some people - considering what is paid for some 'art', it's a positive bargain.
