1.8t

Another top notch car from Audi today!

Basicly a standard TT, with the 150hp, 180hp and 220hp 1.8t engines, but now its 75kg lighter  :)

Damn this is one nice, focused interior!  :o

nice looking, but I think you might have misread it a little bit, according to the article it has a modified 1.8t:

"The engine and transmission have undergone extensive changes. The 1.8-litre turbo unit now delivers 240 bhp (176 kW). The torque has been increased to 320 Newton-metres."

and there are no back seats or aircon, they have even used the 3.2 rear floorpan to relocate battery to boot, so it sounds like they have changed a few bits and pieces.  it's never going to be an M3 CSL, but at least they are having a go a making it more interesting :)

Hmm, I wonder what a TT Rally car would be like?

How would the TTs 4WD system go on grave?

I reckon the standard haldex would be pretty rubbish on tarmac or gravel, isn't it too road safety focused with more emphasis on front wheel drive understeer rather than rear wheel drive oversteer?

If you could somehow alter the torque spilt to be rear baised it could be very entertaining.  If you look at the different Imprezza's (sorry to mention rice) the ones that everyone loves have rear baised center diffs and the ones that people hate and understeer have 50/50 center diffs.

I reckon this is the special for the runout of this TT, like the Mk4 Golf's R32 and Audi's RS's.

Will be interesting to see a new TT with that new front design!

Anyone sat in a hardtop TT ? Bugger all rear vision.
Pic looks good tho

Yeah baby, yeah.  I've always loved the TT.  Now I can own (when I win lotto) a properly 'sorted' version.
