Has anyone replaced their DRC shocks on a b7 rs4 with Koni Shocks? Mine don't need replacing yet but I imagine driving up ski field roads at least a dozen times a year they won't last long... I'm looking at importing some  from http://crsperformance.co.uk/product-range/koni/

Im not wanting to go to the hassle of installing coil overs as I also appreciate the practicalities of an Audi related to increased ride height over say BMW motorsport models

No experience with Konis sorry, but I can recommend Bilstein B8s and H&R springs.  Purchased from Speed at Mt Maunganui about a year ago for my (now sold) B7 RS4.  They performed excellently and pricing was pretty good.

Is there any reason to install H&R springs or can you just install just the Bilstein shocks or will this affect the ride height and handling

I only installed springs as the stock ones were original and had +200,000kms on them.  You can install after market shocks with standard springs.
