G'day

The battery was disconnected in my car, and now my dash is lit up like a Christmas tree. I scanned and cleared it, the 19 faults have reduced to 10, although a lot of them are repeats, so it's really only a few.

Full scan seems to be too long to post, but modules with faults are copied below.

I'm thinking the main issue looks like the steering angle sensor which now needs to be recalibrated - looks easy enough. Then hopefully that fixes the databus fault. The tyre pressure and ACC radar range sensor seem weird though, are these linked to the steering angle sensor?

There were no faults pre battery disconnect, so I have to assume they're all linked. I'll recalibrate the steering in the weekend and see - but interested to hear any thoughts in the mean time.

Did you go for a drive after the battery was reconnected ??. I had the same sort of thing on mine where everything that could light up would but 5 - 10 mins into a drive and everything was gone.

No I haven't yet. But yes I have read that a drive can reset things too (maybe not even needing to recalibrate the steering sensor).

I'll try that first, cheers

This happens on the MK6 as well - after disconnecting the battery about half the error lights on the dash turn on - but about 30 seconds of driving they all switch off
