vw 6463 software update

Anyone perhaps know if this software update (vw 6463) was made available for the R32's here in NZ by volkswagen to remedy the dreaded flat spot between 2000 and 3000 rpm? And if so, is there still a dealership around that can apply this update?

yeah plenty have the update, I don't recall it fixing that issue however.
I'll take a look, might have a stock 6463 file.

you have the 032CP or 032CE ecu?

Thanks Hennie. I'm not sure which ECU is fitted, i will have a look if my Vgate scan tool shows the type fitted.

Had a look now with my scanner, 032CP, looks like 6463 has already been loaded? Never noticed before.  ::)

The update was only for the earlier MY2003. Your car being an MY2004 probably had it from the factory.

Yes, looks like it.
I have always just used the scan tool on my cars to check for any codes present, never used it to check ECU information. Well, there you go, now i know.  :D

you already have the update.

I think I have only seen 3x 3dr R32 still on the old revision software.
Oddly their throttle control was certinaly worse, when I did the 6463 update. So reverted them.

So Volkswagen actually made the problem worse with this "update"..... ;D
