Hi Everyone,

I have an imported A6 diesel which is due for its first oil/filter change shortly.

a) Is having Audi dealer stamp worth it for this oil/filter change asI don't think it is covered under warranty as it is an import (despite only being 18months old)
and
b) If not worth having an Audi stamp (resale?) - who would be a good dealer to go to in the Wellington Area.

Look forward to any thoughts you might be able to share.

Cheers,

Feijoa

Hey mate,
You will still have an Audi Factory warranty that would be honoured by Audi AG I'd think?
Besides, most euro specialists will still be 70-80% of the main dealer cost for a service, so possibly just paying the bigger amount may save you headaches if something were to go wrong? (and possibly raise less questions when you do come to sell).
Just my 2c. All the best.

Hi oem-

Thanks for that.  When the car was imported it was right on the cusp of the 2 year international warranty (NZ Audi no longer support this as a "grey import").  I'm not sure if an oil/filter change is covered by warranty or if this is a "service plan".
I'll try and see what they say but would be good to know of reputable Audi specialists for the future as beyond the 2 year international warranty (expiring in Marc 2021) Audi won't cover anything anyway.

Any recommendations would be gratefully received.

Cheers

Powerhaus in Thorndon or Wellington European in Newtown are both great options.

Hi Thomas,

Great thanks for the recommendations, I've got a quote in from Sutherland Performance (recommendation from another part of this forum) which seems about 1/2 that of Armstrong - given it's only within warranty for another few months I think the Audi stamp is probably not worth the extra
