Hi guys,

I recently purchased a Golf GTI MK6 from a dealer. The car is generally good. However, when the car is at low speed either in D or R gear, it would vibrating quite obviously. When you throttle a bit, that would disappear. That happens a lot when you stop at traffic light or reverse from the garage. Has anyone experienced the same issue as i do? Is it something critical? How much would it cost to repair? I will send the car back to the dealer and they will do a check up for me.

Thanks,
Aden

Manual or DSG?

In gear at the traffic light?

Is this at idle or driving?

May just have an upgraded dogbone mount insert or engine mounts in. So could potentially be nothing to be concerned about,

DSG must be the absolute worst gearbox for city traffic driving. Also, buying a 2nd hand DSG car you do not know how the previous owner has operated it, unfortunately most people who own them think its just like a normal auto box which it's most definitely not , hence the quick flick off when strange noises starts happening and the big repair bills come. I had this sad experience with my S3 8P after just 1000 kms from purchase.

Dsg.
It happens at low speed. Around 1-10km/h. When speeds go up above that, no vibrating at all.

Both not noticeable at idle or driving. Only vibrating when accelerate from 0 or reverse from garage without throttling.

The previous owner is a lady and I have no idea how she drove DSG. I was told that the previous owner taken care of the car pretty much and serviced every 5k km and just finished a dsg service. But the vibrating just happen. I am waiting for the checkup result.

That is absolutely bad for a car just bought from a dealer and I am looking for refund option if the dealer could not repair it for me.
