Interesting detail on the most significant two quattros, the original and the RS2. Both of which weren?t available new in Oz.
Audi Australia as a factory shop were envious of how NZ could release these models but were prohibited due to there draconian local ADR regulations.

Surprised they brushed over the B5 RS4 which was the next true evolution of RS quattro concept from the RS2. The B5 eventually launched in Oz in 2001 but endured a wave of negative customer feedback due to wheel/suspension issues.

Possibly just a lack of B5s available for the shoot? When the B5 came out it had soft wheels that easily deformed. Audi claimed this was design feature to avoid damaging the suspension! They eventually relented and produced a stronger wheel that was available as a free replacement to the original.

I agree re the B5 RS4, strange it was missing.
Oz only got black over cream B5 RS4's. I wonder who decided that?
