Hi,

I've been asked to assist a family member who is trying to sort out the nephews Golf, for sale....said nephew has left NZ. Its a 2005 2.0TDI DSG model.

I'm told it only just starts and sound like battery is buggered, but even when running the warning lights below come on. I expect the engine warning light could be from a number of causes, but anyone any idea what the others might point to?

I haven't ever seen the car, and aren't familiar at all with Golfs, so its all foreign to me.

TIA.

chances are the basic settings for G85 calibration may be required.
It's a super simple process.

start car with steering wheel pointing straight
turn the steering wheels to the right 90 degrees for 3 seconds
turn back to centre for 3 seconds
turn to the left @ 90 degrees for 3 seconds
back to straight and drive approx 10-20 meters going no faster than 10kph.

This will recalibrate your G85. all the rest of the codes will disappear.
The above will need doing every time the battery is flat.

Otherwise, scan car and see what errors it indicates other than "low Voltage"
