Things are creeping along very slowly with this project but since stripping the R36 cylinder head I ran in to some issues, namely my turbos didn't fit?
Bit of a head scratcher as they were sold to me as R36 but definitely don't fit over the exhaust studs on the head, not R32 either as that pattern is completely wrong.
So, a couple weeks back I bought some 3.6 VR6 exhaust gaskets from FCP thinking I'd use those to mark and re drill the exhaust housings on the turbos however
upon placing the gaskets on the turbo they line up perfectly!! Which means my turbos are 3.6 VR instead of R36.

Thankfully "crispy" the fire damaged motor is a 3.6 VR so yesterday I decided to do some investigating and sure enough the R36 exhaust ports are 10-15% larger
than a regular 3.6, both turbos bolt straight on.
The new plan therefore is use "crispy's" head with R36 cams and valve train. Bit of a shame not to use the R36 head with bigger ports but with boost I doubt this will
have much of an effect.
Test fitted the intake and turbos yesterday confirming fit so this can now go ahead and be stripped / rebuilt.

Hi John what the plan of the injection. I see port injectors. Both?

Hey Mark, yes I'll be running the R36 ECU and FSI set up plus a separate ECU to run additional 630cc port injection under boost.
Probably some sort of MAP injector controller.

Ok. There doesn't seem to be many options to run fsi with a standalone ecu.
