Picked up a 2008 TT last weekend.
The headlight cluster seems to have 2 large light units. I can get the outer ones to work but have had no luck with the inner ones. Have tried every combination of light setting and stalk position but those inner lights do not seem to want to come on. Am I missing something or are they  busted?

That's normally the high beam. Turn the lights on and Push the indicator stalk away from you and they should go on. Blue light comes on the dash too. If not, then I suspect a fuse has blown or both bulbs have died.

Sounds the same as my 2006. The inner headlights don't work at all. In the UK they are daytime running lights. The outer lights will be bi-xenon and do low and high beams. I have a VAGCOM on its way to see if I can switch the DRLs on.

I managed to get my inner lights working this weekend in VCDS by coding Day Time Running Lights (north America). Now when the switch is set to auto the inner day time running lights switch on unless it?s dark (I have auto sensing) in which case the inner lights switch off and the Xenons on the outside turn on.
