2014 Mk7 Timing chain or belt?

Hi,
I am seeing conflicting information regarding a 2014 1.4TSI as to whether it has a cam belt or a timing chain.
I have seen an invoice for a cambelt replacement on this model, but have just a pre-purchase inspection done on one,
and they told me it had a timing chain?

Any assistance appreciated.

I'm pretty sure they're all chain. Search your specific engine code to verify.

If it is a 2014 year model it has a belt.
This is a new engine and not the same as the earlier 1.4 TSI.
Also has 2 cylinder deactivation for more fuel economy. named ACT by VW.
The fact the outfit that did ur pre purchase do not know this is a worry.
