Turbo cleaner

Is it alright to use a turbo cleaner additive for my car?

I have a 2016 Passat 2.0 BiTDI the 177kw.

Three times over the last two years I have gotten a P0234 error and the car will go into limp mode, losing power until I stop the car and turn it off then back on again, then everything is back to normal. This only happens when I am going fast and accelerating. I believe it could be sticky turbo vanes. If adding the cleaner saves me from buying a new turbo then I'll save a fortune.
